Introduction
DEEMEA is a software publishing company for biomedical research. It develops and deploys DEEMEA Research Platform to assist investigator centers and clinical research sponsors in streamlining the collection and analysis of medical imaging data. Definitions and Interpretation
“Account”refers to an online account created by the User to access and/or use the Services.

“DEEMEA Research Plarform”refers to the Service provided by DEEMEA to streamline the management of clinical research studies, including medical imaging data, through the utilization of AI tools.

“Investigator center”refers to any healthcare provider where the DEEMEA Research Platform is deployed on-premises under a License to Use agreement contractualized with DEEMEA.

In this context, it pertains to Personal Data that you provide to DEEMEA via his Services. This definition incorporates, where applicable, the definitions provided in Privacy Legislation.

Do we collect sensitive data?
No. Any information regarding racial or ethnic origin, political, philosophical, or religious beliefs, trade union membership, health, or sex life is considered sensitive data under applicable regulations. Deemea never requires Users to provide this specific information. Users understand they should never disclose such information on any DEEMEA Services.
How do we collect your data?

Registers for one of the Services;
Uses any of the Services.
Where do we store your data?
All the data collected from Users are encrypted and stored in the Paris-based data centers of AWS (Amazon Web Services), an HDS certified cloud provider, adhering to the Trusted Cloud Principles.
For what purpose is your data collected?
User data is collected and processed to ensure the effective operation of Services. This data plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and performance of DEEMEA Services, allowing to deliver a seamless User experience. Additionally, it serves as an essential requirement for traceability and compliance at Investigator centers involved in clinical research studies. By securely managing and analyzing this data, DEEMEA not only meets regulatory standards but also provides valuable insights and support to Users. The commitment to data integrity and security ensures that User information is handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable laws and best practices. Furthermore, this data is utilized to personalize information and Services according to User profiles, enhancing the relevance and effectiveness of the Services that DEEMEA offers.
How is data retention applied?
The User data collected within the scope of using the DEEMEA Research Platform is subject to contractual requirements specified in the Licence to Use agreements with each investigator center.
For other Services, User data is retained for as long as the User remains active. After a period of inactivity lasting 2 years, all User data is deleted as per our data retention policy.
Who has access to your data?
User data is accessible only to a limited number of DEEMEA employees authorized for this purpose. This strict access control ensures that sensitive User information is handled securely and in accordance with privacy regulations. By restricting access to authorized personnel, DEEMEA maintains a high level of confidentiality and data protection for all Users.
However, upon written request from an investigator center holding a license to use the DEEMEA Research Platform, DEEMEA may provide strictly necessary data for security or traceability audits related to the User's use of the DEEMEA Research Platform at their investigator center.
What are the data protection rights?
Users have rights of access, rectification, amendment, portability, and erasure over their Personal Data. These rights can be exercised or further information can be requested on this matter by contacting us at dpo@deemea.com.
